Football Recap: Lake View's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Lake View was the 41-14 winner over Scott's Branch when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Wild Gators took a 22-18 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Friday. The loss put an end to the Wild Gators' undefeated start to the season.

Jaiven Conyers had an outrageously good game for Scott's Branch as he threw for 275 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 100 yards and one score. Those 100 rushing yards gave Conyers a new career-high. Scott's Branch's leading receiver Keith Rogers was Conyers' top target yet again, picking up 145 receiving yards and one TD.

Lake View's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Scott's Branch, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake View will face off against Johnsonville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wild Gators will be up against the Flashes' rather soft defense (which has allowed 25.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Scott's Branch, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Branchville at 7:30 p.m. This will be the Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
