Softball Recap: Hatton Gets the Win

Hatton had won three straight at home, but on Saturday they bumped their record up to 14-21-2 to make it four. They skirted past the Hackleburg Panthers 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hornets have posted since March 20th.

As for Hackleburg, the defeat snapped their winning streak at nine games and leaves them with a 26-8 record. The matchup marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

For Hackleburg's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braylynn Pope, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Looking ahead, Hatton will be playing at home against Muscle Shoals at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Hackleburg, they will square off against Sulligent at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
