Baseball Recap: Mountain Pointe Pride vs. Notre Dame Prep Saints

Mountain Pointe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 6-2 to the Notre Dame Prep Saints. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Saints this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-5 last Monday.

Mountain Pointe got a good showing from Ja'Kyn Thurman, who tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Thurman has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kai Klepfer was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.
