Recap: Grayville Bison vs. Wayne City Indians
The Grayville Bison have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 22 points or more this season. They blew past Wayne City 72-45 on the road. The victory was familiar territory for Grayville who now have four in a row.
Leading Grayville to victory were Zach Leavens and Ty'zae Rowland. Leavens scored 20 points, while Rowland scored 30 points along with eight rebounds. The match was Rowland's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Ian Kleinschmidt was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Wayne City's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was James Walker, who scored 17 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Jax Scarbrough, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Grayville's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Wayne City, they have fallen quite a ways from their 26-8 record last season and are now at 2-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grayville will be home for the holidays to greet Wayne City at 6:00 p.m. on December 21st. As for Wayne City, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Red Hill at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th.
