Baseball Recap: East Wake Academy Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

East Wake Academy entered their tilt with Franklin Academy on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Patriots a 10-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-1 on April 1st.

Lane Collier was incredible, firing off two home runs while going 2-for-2. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Weston Dixon, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.

East Wake Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .476. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Franklin Academy only posted a batting average of .176.
