The Willapa Valley Vikings scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 56-22 win over Mary M. Knight. Willapa Valley might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four matches by 24 points or more this season.
Willapa Valley found their leader in underclassman Lauren Matlock, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Matlock continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Addison Merkel, who scored nine points.
Willapa Valley's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. As for Mary M. Knight, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
