Basketball Recap: West Cabarrus' Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

West Cabarrus extended their winning streak to four on Wednesday, bumping them up to 4-0. They blew past the Palisades Pumas 50-30. This was payback for the Wolverines, who suffered a 43-35 defeat the last time these two teams met.

As for Palisades, they now have a losing record of 2-3. The game marked their lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Several Pumas players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Meyah Brown, who posted seven points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. With that strong performance, Brown is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Estelle Macho, who put up nine points and three steals.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. West Cabarrus won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Northwest Cabarrus at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Palisades, they will venture away from home to take on Clover at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Pumas are facing the Blue Eagles at the right time seeing as the Blue Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
