Basketball Recap: Valley View Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

With a playoff win on the line, Valley View rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They blew past the Mid Valley Spartans 57-33. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 21 points or more this season.

Defeat or not, Mid Valley got some senior leadership from Kaleik Cook and Demaja Dunston. Cook posted eight points and 13 boards, while Dunston went 6-for-14 on his way to 12 points.

Valley View has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which somehow still isn't as good as their 18-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.6 points over those games. As for Mid Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-12.

Looking ahead, Valley View will square off against Dallas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mid Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
