Basketball Recap: First Colonial Comes Up Short

First Colonial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 56-50 heartbreaker at the hands of the Salem Sundevils. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 71-66 back in December of 2024.

First Colonial's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Salem, their victory bumped their record up to 6-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. First Colonial will welcome Nansemond-Suffolk Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Salem, they will host Green Run at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
