Coronado has gone 6-0 against Northwest recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Coronado Leopards are taking a road trip to face off against the Northwest Falcons at 6:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Coronado saw some tournament action on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 66-18 loss at the hands of Logan. While losing is never fun, the Leopards can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico basketball rankings (they are ranked 124th, while the Longhorns are ranked 18th).

Meanwhile, Northwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 31st straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by To'hajiilee and fell 69-35. The Falcons were down 60-24 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Coronado, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Coronado beat Northwest 51-43 when the teams last played on January 10th. The rematch might be a little tougher for Coronado since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
