Softball Recap: Windermere Prep Gets the Win

While Windermere Prep's win against Olympia wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Windermere Prep sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over Olympia on Monday. While the Lakers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Kylie Konstand was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases. Lauren T also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Windermere Prep pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Olympia, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windermere Prep will square off against Lyman at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Olympia, they will challenge Ocoee at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
