Baseball Recap: Chattanooga Central Comes Up Short

Chattanooga Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against the Meigs County Tigers, falling 14-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-14 last Tuesday.

Chattanooga Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Houston Boykin, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Chattanooga Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Meigs County, their victory bumped their record up to 15-5.

Coming up, Chattanooga Central will take on Signal Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Meigs County, they will challenge Harriman at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
