Knox came tearing into Thursday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 68-62 W against the Portledge Panthers. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 261st, while the Panthers are ranked 553rd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Knox's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Portledge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Knox will be playing at home against Jay at 12:00 p.m. on the 31st. Portledge has already played their next game (against Dalton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
