Macksville's Tanner Tranbarger rumbled for the longest rushing play in Central Prairie (8 Man) this season in his game against Kiowa County last week. Tranbarger ran for 38 yards on the play and finished with 181 on the day as his team lost to the Mavericks.
Conner Frame and Ross Frame provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Fairfield. The connection went for 75 yards, the longest such play in the league this season.
Tanner McMillen was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 15 carries, he ran for 184 yards as Ness City fell to the Falcons. Caleb Lee also contributed to the rushing game with 34 yards on the ground.
Cole Stoeklein made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Eagles lost to Victoria. The 6-foot-0 senior grabbed 3.0 sacks.
Braedan Crites threw for 118 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was 5-11 with 0 interception.
Crites put up the best numbers through the air as Central Plains topped St. John.
Espinosa was the best wideout in Central Prairie (8 Man) this week as the Coyotes lost to Fairfield. Espinosa tallied 4 receptions for 91 yards.
Tranbarger was a passing and rushing force as Macksville fell to Kiowa County. Tranbarger's favorite target this week was Simon Miller, who caught 3 passes for 69 yards.
6-foot-2 quarterback Crites of the Oilers is the league leader in passing yards this season with 551. He has also thrown 10 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Espinosa. The Kinsley star has 10 catches for 356 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Central Plains and the Knights. Chris Steiner's team comes into the matchup ranked 10th in the state, while Victoria ranks second.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Oilers take on Doug Oberle's team. Central Plains has allowed 52 points this season, while the Knights have given up 52. The Oilers allowed 8 points last week as they defeated the Tigers.
