Soccer Recap: Thatcher Starts Season with Loss at Home

Thatcher unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Arete Prep CHARGERS by a score of 2-1 on Friday. Thatcher were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Arete Prep apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.

Arete Prep's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Thatcher will take on NFL Yet Academy at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Arete Prep, they will take on Benjamin Franklin in a tournament on Friday.
