Soccer Recap: Massac County Comes Up Short

Massac County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Anna-Jonesboro/Cobden Wildcats. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Massac County couldn't quite close it out.

Massac County's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Anna-Jonesboro/Cobden, they moved to 6-12 with that win, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Massac County wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 5-0 defeat against Pinckneyville on the 2nd. As for Anna-Jonesboro/Cobden, they will host DuQuoin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
