Softball Recap: Our Lady of Lourdes Comes Up Short

Our Lady of Lourdes came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 7-1 to the Wallkill Panthers. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Our Lady of Lourdes' defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Wallkill, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 6-0.

Coming up, Our Lady of Lourdes will be playing in front of their home fans against Red Hook at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors are facing the Raiders at the right time seeing as the Raiders are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Wallkill, they will venture away from home to face off against Cornwall Central at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The Dragons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.75 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
