Volleyball Recap: Miami-Yoder Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Miami-Yoder was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Kiowa Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Buffaloes of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-8, 25-20.

Madison Kragel paced Miami-Yoder's offense, picking up seven kills. Kragel got some help from Joanna Cabrera and her three assists.

Leading Kiowa to victory were Emery Kelly and Kaylee Wyer. Kelly had 11 digs and five aces, while Wyer had eight digs and one assist. That's the most aces Kelly has posted since back in September.

Miami-Yoder's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Kiowa, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3.

Coming up, Miami-Yoder will square off against Cripple Creek-Victor at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kiowa, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Flagler on the 11th.
