Recap: Carmel Rams vs. Suffern Mounties
The Carmel Rams entered their tilt with the Suffern Mounties with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Carmel blew past Suffern 35-6 at home. Carmel's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Carmel was led to victory by Christian Nunez and Tristan Cash Werlau. Nunez rushed for 60 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, while Cash Werlau rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. Cash Werlau was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 51 yards. Carmel also got help from Ryan Aabel who showed off his sure hands for 83 receiving yards.
Carmel's victory was their 12th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-1. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 26.42 points. As for Suffern, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.
Carmel will square off against Arlington at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Arlington is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Suffern does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
