Softball Recap: Buckeye Trail Takes a Loss

Buckeye Trail fell victim to Conotton Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Rockets, falling 12-0. The Warriors have struggled against the Rockets recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Buckeye Trail's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Conotton Valley, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Looking ahead, Buckeye Trail will challenge Cambridge at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bobcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.43 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Conotton Valley, they will square off against Caldwell at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Rockets have won six straight at home dating back to last season, while the Redskins won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
