Villa Grove is  a perfect 8-0 against Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Blue Devils will be playing at home against the Titans  at 4:30  p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one:  the two teams posted some lofty  run totals in their previous games.
Villa Grove is headed into Monday's   game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game  on Friday. They were a single  run away from ending the streak, but they lost  an   11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of Paris.
 Piper Kiser put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out six batters over  six innings while giving up just one earned  (and four unearned) runs off   six  hits. Kiser was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in three of her five plate appearances with two  runs.
 In other batting news,  Olivia Jones led a balanced group of hitters,  going 4-for-5 with three  RBI, one  triple,  and one  run. That  triple was  her first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Izzy Dodd, who  went 3-for-4 with three  runs and two  doubles.
Meanwhile, Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] can  bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game  on Thursday. They never let Okaw Valley get on the board and left with  a   15-0  victory. The  matchup marked the Titans' most dominant  win of the  season.
Like Villa Grove, Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] also got a great game from a two-way player:  Shaylun Christenberry. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Christenberry has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than seven  strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-2 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  run.
 In other batting news, Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] got a  massive  performance out of  Kayden Johnson, who  went 2-for-3 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and one  stolen base. That's the most  runs  Johnson has posted since back in April.  Lily Brown was another key player,  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances with three  runs and one  RBI.
 Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland]  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .654. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
 Villa Grove's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland], their victory bumped their record up to 4-18.
Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland]'s pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them:  Villa Grove hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .377. It's a different story for Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland], though, as  they've  only  averaged .207. Will they be able to contain Villa Grove's hitters?
 Everything went Villa Grove's way against Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] in their previous meeting  back in May of 2024, as Villa Grove made off with  an  11-1 win.
