Lehi faced Spanish Fork in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Pioneers came out on top against the Dons by a score of 7-3. The win was familiar territory for the Pioneers, who have now won five matchups in a row.

Lehi gave Abbi Harroun the start and clearly made the right call: she tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Harroun has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. Jaxie Medler picked up the save, pitching one inning while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brynlee Cook, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Liv Davies, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Lehi was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .458. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .367 or higher in five consecutive games.

Lehi's record is now 13-2. As for Spanish Fork, they moved to 10-5 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Lehi has already played their next contest, an 11-9 victory against Maple Mountain on the 11th. As for Spanish Fork, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-0 win against Duchesne on the 11th.
