Baseball Recap: Boardman Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Boardman can now relate to. They fell 4-1 to the Stow-Munroe Falls Bulldogs on Tuesday. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 7-2 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in May of 2016, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Boardman got a good showing from Ryan Neifer, who pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

Boardman's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Stow-Munroe Falls, their victory bumped their record up to 12-16.

Boardman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Stow-Munroe Falls, they will face off against Austintown-Fitch at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
