Baseball Recap: Pleasant Takes a Loss

Pleasant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ontario Warriors. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 4-2 to the Warriors when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Pleasant got a good showing from Johnathan Maran, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Pleasant saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dillon Burns, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Pleasant's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Ontario, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

While Pleasant had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
