North Stokes will bounce into Friday's contest after beating West Stokes, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. North Stokes secured a 65-61 W over West Stokes on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, East Wilkes came up short against Alleghany on Wednesday and fell 65-56. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

East Wilkes' defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for North Stokes, their victory bumped their record up to 13-9.

North Stokes was able to grind out a solid win over East Wilkes when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 79-70. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Stokes since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
