Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Air Academy). Everything went their way against the Pueblo East Eagles on Saturday as they made off with a 9-0 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Air Academy's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 50th, while Pueblo East are ranked 222nd).

Air Academy was without their leading scorer, Tyner Amerine, in Saturday's matchup. With Amerine sidelined, the Kadets had to make some changes to the lineup. And.

Air Academy pushed their record up to 8-4-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those five matches. As for Pueblo East, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14.

Coming up, Air Academy will square off against Cheyenne Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pueblo East does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
