Basketball Recap: Beamer's Run of Five Straight Victories Now Over

After a string of five wins, Beamer's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Enumclaw Hornets by a score of 52-50. The Titans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Hornets from their previous meeting back in January of 2020.

Despite the loss, Beamer still got an impressive performance from Terrence Whiting, who posted 21 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Whiting's evening made it 11 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylin Wells, who put up ten points and three steals.

Beamer's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-4. As for Enumclaw, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

Beamer wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 60-35 win against Kent-Meridian on the 6th. As for Enumclaw, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against White River at 7:00 p.m. White River knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 contests -- so hopefully Enumclaw likes a good challenge.
