League recap: Rauner College Prep's Gasiamas delivers best pitching performance from past week

Chris Gasiamas was the best pitcher in Noble this week, leading Rauner College Prep. He picked up two wins and 21 strikeouts.

Isaiah Perez was the hottest hitter in the league this week, racking up a .579 average with 15 RBIs. His UIC College Prep team went 4-2.

The Wildcats boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks. Rauner College Prep's pitchers have been charged with only one hits and have struck out 110 batters. Gasiamas is tops on the staff with 59 Ks.

Although the Firecats finished first in the league this week with 59 hits, the Wildcats still sit atop the the league leaderboard with 137 total hits this season. With 17 hits this year Perez leads the first-place squad, which finished with a 4-2 record this week.

Perez led the league with 11 hits this week for the Firecats. He is fifth in the league with 17 hits this year, and has a .447 batting average.



Michaelray Alvizu had a multi-hit game on Monday, when he went 4-4 in Muchin College Prep's 6-3 win against Chicago International Charter-Northtown Academy. He also drove in four runners.
