Volleyball Recap: Nina Jostock's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lapeer over Trenton

Lapeer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Trenton Trojans.

Lapeer's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nina Jostock, who had eight digs and four aces. Jostock is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Lapeer's loss dropped their record down to 9-17-1. As for Trenton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Lapeer has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Utica Eisenhower on the 18th. As for Trenton, they will venture away from home to square off against Carlson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
