Basketball Recap: Forest Lake Academy Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Forest Lake Academy challenged Bridge to Independence on Tuesday. The Forest Lake Academy Panthers had to suffer through a 70-30 loss at the hands of the Bridge to Independence Wildcats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 79-46 two weeks ago.

Forest Lake Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Isaiah Paradise, who posted seven points.

Bridge to Independence got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaydan Jeantinord out in front who dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. Jeantinord has been hot, having posted ten or more boards the last six times he's played. Micah Becker was another key player, putting up seven points and 18 steals.

Forest Lake Academy dropped their record down to 2-12 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Bridge to Independence, their victory bumped their record up to 12-5.

Forest Lake Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-47 loss against Mount Dora Christian Academy on the 22nd. Bridge to Independence has also already played their next matchup, a 92-79 defeat against Colonial on the 22nd.
