Volleyball Recap: Eugene Eagles vs. Fulton Hornets
Eugene was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fulton Hornets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.
Lydia Hale paced Eugene's offense, picking up six kills. Hale got some help from Allionna Hugen and her three assists. Ava Williams controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Bre Knighten had another great game (as she tends to do), getting 12 digs, two aces, and one block for Fulton. The team also got some help courtesy of Estella Vanschenkhof, who had 12 assists and three aces.
Eugene's loss dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Fulton, the win snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 11-12 record.
Eugene didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Eldon on the 11th. As for Fulton, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Licking on the 11th.
