Volleyball Recap: Tate's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Tate entered their tilt with Choctawhatchee on Tuesday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They came out on top against the Indians by a score of 3-1. The Aggies have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Indians, too.

While Tate might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Choctawhatchee scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 20-25, 25-23, 25-23.

Torrie Garrett paced Tate's offense, picking up 18 kills. Garrett got some help from Bailie Merritt and her 33 assists. Garrett was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Tate's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Choctawhatchee, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tate will face off against Pace at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Choctawhatchee, they will take on Arnold at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
