Basketball Game Preview: Whitman Vikings vs. Bethesda-Chevy Chase Barons

Whitman is 2-8 against Bethesda-Chevy Chase since March of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Whitman Vikings will square off against the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Barons. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Whitman didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Wootton, but they still walked away with a 62-57 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Bethesda-Chevy Chase beat Churchill 46-41 on Friday. The Barons haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Whitman pushed their record up to 13-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points over those games. As for Bethesda-Chevy Chase, their record is now 18-2.

Whitman couldn't quite finish off Bethesda-Chevy Chase in their previous meeting back in January and fell 47-44. Can Whitman avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
