Yuma entered their tilt with Desert Sunrise on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They enjoyed a cozy 60-46 win over the Desert Sunrise Golden Hawks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 56-38 on January 7th.

Desert Sunrise's loss came despite strong showings from Shayla Hill and Tessani Montgomery. Hill posted 17 points, while Montgomery dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. Hill has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 13 times she's played.

Yuma's record now sits at 9-4. As for Desert Sunrise, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.

Yuma has already played their next matchup (against Coronado), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Desert Sunrise will be playing in front of their home fans against Dysart at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Dysart will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Desert Sunrise surely won't give up without a fight.
