Avon Old Farms barely beat Loomis Chaffee School the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Beavers were the clear victors by a 13-5 margin over the Pelicans on Wednesday. Considering the Beavers have won six matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Avon Old Farms' victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Loomis Chaffee School, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Avon Old Farms is taking a road trip to face off against Taft School at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Loomis Chaffee School, they will host Westminster School at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Pelicans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Martlets have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
