Football Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Oakridge

Oakridge put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past the Coronado Thunderbirds with points to spare, taking the game 28-14.

Oakridge's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luke Dearman, who threw for 207 yards and a pair of TDs on only 13 passes. The dominant performance also gave Dearman a new career-high in passer rating (151.4). Oakridge also got a significant boost from Hudson Hayes, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 89 yards.

Oakridge didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Will Lemonds and Caleb Walton. Lemonds is crushing it when it comes to interceptions: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Oakridge's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Coronado, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Oakridge wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 60-21 victory against Cistercian on the 19th. As for Coronado, they have also already played their next contest, a 40-20 win against Parkland on the 19th.
