Basketball Recap: Brazosport Christian Piles Up the Points Against Founders Classical Academy

Brazosport Christian had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They claimed a resounding 70-30 victory over the Founders Classical Academy Voyagers. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 27 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brazosport Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Riot Sullivan, who posted eight points in addition to six steals and five assists. Another player making a difference was Blake Henderson, who made all 5 shots he took to post 10 points.

Brazosport Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 20 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Brazosport Christian's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Founders Classical Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brazosport Christian will square off against O'Connell at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. O'Connell knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Brazosport Christian likes a good challenge.
