Soccer Recap: Miramonte Finishes Even with Pinole Valley

For the first time since back in December of 2024, Miramonte was forced to settle for a draw on Saturday. They and the Pinole Valley Spartans finished up their matchup with a 2-2 draw. The game got a bit rough at times, as the refs handed out a total of three yellow cards before it was all over: the Matadors' James Jenkins and the Spartans' Brian Oliva and Sebastian Ocegueda were all carded.

James Rogers and Bennett Caspari scored both of Miramonte's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Miramonte's draw makes their record 3-1-3 this season. As for Pinole Valley, they moved theirs to 3-4-4.

Miramonte wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 1-0 loss against Antioch on the 14th. As for Pinole Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 0-0 draw against Saint Mary's on the 14th.
