Volleyball Recap: Centennial Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Centennial can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Prior Lake Lakers on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Cougars have suffered since September 17th.

Elena Hoecke paced Centennial's offense, picking up ten kills. Hoecke got some help from Chase Manthey and her 28 assists. Addison Kemper and Annabelle Steinhoff kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

The loss snapped Centennial's winning streak at seven matches and leaves them with a 22-9 record. As for Prior Lake, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 21-9.

Centennial wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against East Ridge on the 6th. Prior Lake has also already played their next matchup (against Apple Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
