Soccer Game Preview: Interlake vs. Liberty

The Interlake Saints will head out to challenge the Liberty Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Interlake's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Interlake managed to slip by Hazen the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Interlake came up short against Hazen on Thursday, falling 5-0. Interlake fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Hazen since on Thursday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Liberty). Everything went their way against Highline on Thursday as Liberty made off with a 7-3 victory. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Liberty considering their one-goal performance the match before.

The win snapped Liberty's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-4-1 record. As for Interlake, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5-1.

Interlake might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Liberty when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Interlake avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
