Volleyball Recap: Carver High School of Engineering & Science Finds Home Court Redemption Against Thomas A. Edison

There's no place like home for Carver High School of Engineering & Science, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Thomas A. Edison Owls on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 win. This was payback for Carver High School of Engineering & Science, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Carver High School of Engineering & Science never let Thomas A. Edison on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-22, 25-21.

Ziyan Hemmingway paced Carver High School of Engineering & Science's offense, picking up 11 kills. Hemmingway got some help from Masaki Dickerson and his 28 assists. Dickerson was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Carver High School of Engineering & Science's record now sits at 5-2. As for Thomas A. Edison, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-6-1.

Carver High School of Engineering & Science has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against George Washington on the 9th. As for Thomas A. Edison, they will square off against William Allen at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
