Volleyball Recap: Gilmour Academy Comes Up Short

Gilmour Academy lost against Anthony Wayne back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Lancers came up short against the Generals, falling 3-0. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-11, 25-13.

Gilmour Academy's offense was headlined by Aiden Pike and KJ Williams, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Mira Siebert and her 11 assists. Evelyn Myers controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Gilmour Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Anthony Wayne, they pushed their record up to 19-1 with the victory, which was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Gilmour Academy has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against St. Joseph Academy on the 8th. As for Anthony Wayne, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Northview on the 7th.
