Damonte Ranch is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Douglas on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Mustangs came up short against the Tigers, falling 42-19. The Mustangs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-7.

Meanwhile, Spanish Springs faced Reed in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Cougars claimed a resounding 49-15 victory over the Raiders. The Cougars' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Spanish Springs' win came from a few key players Damonte Ranch will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Cooper Milligan, who rushed for 134 yards and one TD on only six carries. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run. Another player making a difference was Tyson McNeil, who threw for 211 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.9% of his passes.

Spanish Springs' victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Damonte Ranch, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
