Cardinal Newman is a perfect 3-0 against Spring Valley since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Cardinal Newman managed to slip by Legion Collegiate Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Cardinal Newman came up short against Legion Collegiate Academy on Monday, falling 5-2. That's two games in a row now that the Cardinals have lost by exactly three goals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Spring Valley). They never let Ridge View get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Blazers: they've now won seven in a row.

Spring Valley's offense was hitting Ridge View from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Bryan Lee led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Spring Valley's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Cardinal Newman, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
