Baseball Recap: Preston Comes Up Short

Preston made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Morgantown, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Knights fell just short of the Mohigans by a score of 4-2 on Friday. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Mohigans recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Preston saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Moyer, who went 2-for-4 with two runs. The Knights are 4-2 when Moyer posts two or more runs, but 4-13 otherwise.

Preston's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Morgantown, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 23-5.

Looking ahead, Preston will be playing at home against John Marshall at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Morgantown, they will square off against Kiski Area at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
