Baseball Recap: Somers Find Success

Somers made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Stafford, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Spartans never let the Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 6-0 win on Monday. The Spartans not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since May 10, 2024.

Jack Olearcek was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Will Accorsi, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Somers was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Stafford only posted a batting average of .095.

Somers' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2.
