Basketball Recap: Shenandoah Comes Up Short

Shenandoah's game on Saturday was all tied up 20-20 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 56-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knightstown Panthers. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Despite the loss, Shenandoah still got an impressive performance from Gabbi Patrick, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds. Patrick has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 11 times she's played. Jayln Pritchett was another key player, putting up six points and six steals.

Lilly Drew went supernova For Knightstown., shooting 63% from the field en route to 22 points along with five rebounds and three blocks. The last time Drew's field goal percentage was this high was back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Anna Roberson, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten boards.

Shenandoah's record now sits at 0-2.

Shenandoah wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 51-36 win against Hagerstown on the 11th. As for Knightstown, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Winchester Community at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
