Volleyball Recap: Bellefonte Takes a Loss

The Bellefonte Raiders came up short against the Central Cambria Red Devils on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Bellefonte ultimately came up short, they really made Central Cambria work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 26-24, 25-18.

Colbie Frailey paced Bellefonte's offense, picking up seven kills. Frailey got some help from Aubrey Schreppel and her 14 assists. Schreppel was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Riley Kauffman went supernova For Central Cambria., getting seven digs and two aces. What's more, Kauffman racked up 34 assists, the most she's had over her last 13 matchups.

Bellefonte now has a losing record of 11-12-2. As for Central Cambria, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-4-1 record this season.

Bellefonte wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Central on the 9th. As for Central Cambria, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Richland on the 7th.
