It was a good run, but Chichester unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Ridley Raiders by a score of 6-5.

Evan Valentine was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Gavin Derrickson, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Chichester's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Ridley, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-7.

Looking ahead, Chichester will head out to challenge Chester at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Clippers have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Ridley, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 9-1 defeat against Strath Haven on the 28th.
