Palma found their leader in sophomore Eli Dukes, who rushed for 226 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. Dukes' longest rush was for an impressive 56 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
The victory got Palma back to even at 5-5. As for Everett Alvarez, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
Palma will square off against Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last. Everett Alvarez does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
